Terms of Service

Version 1.0 · Effective 2 September 2026 · Applies to the TEAMON3 mobile apps, teamon3.com, and the TEAMON3 web console.
TEAMON3 LLC, an Illinois limited liability company · Wayne City, Illinois, USA · support@teamon3.com

The short version

  • You must be 18 or older to have an account. Children participate as roster entries managed by their guardians.
  • TEAMON3 is software, not a sports organization. We do not run your team, supervise anyone, or vet the adults around your child. Your league or club does that.
  • Your content stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to run the service.
  • Team fees are collected by the team through Stripe; refunds come from the team, not from us.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel any time.
  • Section 22 requires most disputes to go to individual arbitration and waives jury trials and class actions. You have 30 days to opt out of that.

This box is a summary. The numbered sections below are the actual agreement.

These Terms are a binding contract between you and TEAMON3 LLC ("TEAMON3", "we", "us") governing your use of the TEAMON3 apps, website, and web console (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

Some features described here are not yet available. They are marked Not yet live. They are covered now so that these Terms do not have to change on the day they arrive.

1. Who may use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract. There is no account type for minors of any age. If you are under 18, you may not create an account; ask a parent or guardian to add you to a roster instead.

You must not be barred from using the Service under the laws of the United States or your state, and you must not have been previously removed from the Service. The Service is currently offered only in the United States.

If you accept these Terms on behalf of a team, club, or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it, and "you" means both you and that organization.

2. Your account

  • Give accurate information and keep it current.
  • Keep your password and devices secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Do not share your account or let anyone else use it.
  • Tell us promptly at support@teamon3.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • If you own or administer a team that collects payments, you are required to enable two-factor authentication, because that account can move other people's money.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Teams, roles, and who controls what

The Service is organized around teams. Whoever creates a team is its Owner, and Owners and Administrators can invite and remove members, assign roles, moderate the team's channels, and configure the team's settings — including deleting the team and everything in it.

This means a team's staff have real power over your experience of that team. They can remove you, delete something you posted, and see the team content you have posted. If you disagree with something a coach or administrator does inside their team, that is between you and them; our role is limited to enforcing these Terms and responding to safety reports.

Some capabilities are separate from rank: a treasurer can create and manage payment requests, and a scorekeeper can record a game, without being an administrator of anything else.

4. Players under 18 and their guardians

A player under 18 has no account. They exist as a roster entry created by an adult who represents that they are that player's parent or legal guardian, and who is responsible for that representation being true.

By adding a player, you confirm that:

  • you are that child's parent or legal guardian, or are acting with their documented permission;
  • you consent to our collection and use of that child's information as described in the Privacy Policy; and
  • you understand that you, and any other linked guardian, can read the team channels your player participates in.

Guardians act for their players in everything: RSVPs, fees, statistics, data requests, and likeness permissions. Where a player has more than one guardian, each has the same access and a fee owed for that player is owed by them jointly — any of them may pay it, and we do not adjudicate which one should.

Guardian access ends when the player turns 18, with advance notice to both. Contested guardianship — a custody change, a protective order — is handled through our support process with legal escalation, never ad hoc. We do not, and cannot, adjudicate custody. Email support@teamon3.com and we will follow that process, but a court order is a matter for a court.

5. What TEAMON3 is not

This section is important. Please read it.

  • We are not the organizer of your sports activity. We provide software. Your league, club, or team runs the sport, sets its rules, and is responsible for the safety of its participants.
  • We do not conduct background checks on coaches, staff, or any other user, and we do not verify anyone's identity, credentials, or fitness to be around children. Where the Service records that a background check was done, it is recording someone else's attestation that they did one — it is not our verification of anything.
  • We do not verify that someone claiming to be a child's guardian is one. We require the claim and hold the claimant responsible for it.
  • We do not supervise teams, events, or communications, and we are not present at your games.
  • We are not a payment processor, a bank, or a money transmitter. See section 9.

Choosing who to trust with your child is your decision and your organization's, not ours. The safety features we do provide — guardian visibility, reporting, moderation tools — are aids to your judgment, not a substitute for it.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • harass, bully, threaten, or abuse anyone, or encourage anyone else to;
  • post content that sexualizes a minor in any way — this results in immediate termination and a report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement;
  • post content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or that depicts graphic violence;
  • attempt to contact a child through the Service outside the team channels their guardians can see, or seek to circumvent guardian visibility;
  • impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your relationship to a child or a team;
  • upload someone else's personal information without a right to, or post photographs of other people's children where their guardian has asked you not to;
  • use the Service for advertising, spam, solicitation, or any commercial purpose other than running your team;
  • scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract source code, or use automated means to access the Service outside a documented API;
  • probe, scan, or test the security of the Service except under a responsible disclosure we have agreed to in writing;
  • interfere with the Service's operation, circumvent rate limits or tier caps, or use another user's account;
  • use the Service to violate any law, including youth-protection and anti-discrimination law.

If you become aware of a child in danger, contact your local emergency services first. Then tell us at support@teamon3.com.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you post. We claim no ownership of your messages, photos, videos, statistics, or documents.

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transmit, display, reformat, and create technical derivatives of your content solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service for you and the people you shared it with — for example, generating thumbnails, transcoding a video so it plays on a phone, or indexing a message so you can search for it later. This licence exists so we can run the product; it does not let us publish your content elsewhere, sell it, license it to anyone else, or use it in marketing. It ends when you delete the content, except for copies retained in backups, or in the moderation audit store described in section 8, for the periods set out in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for what you post: that you have the right to post it, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights. In particular, before you post a photograph or video of someone else's child, make sure their guardian is content for you to.

8. Reporting, moderation, and removal

Any message, user, or stream can be reported from inside the app, and reports go to our support queue. Team staff can delete messages and remove members within their own team. We can remove content, suspend accounts, and terminate accounts across the whole Service.

We do not pre-screen content. No automated classifier reads your messages looking for problems. Reporting and staff moderation are how problems reach us, which is why reporting matters and why we ask you to use it.

Content we remove is retained in a restricted audit store rather than destroyed, because an investigation may need it. We may report unlawful content, and the account behind it, to law enforcement.

9. Team fees and payments

Teams use the Service to collect fees — dues, tournament costs, uniforms — from their members. Understand who is who in that arrangement:

  • The team is the merchant. It sets the amount, decides what the money is for, and is responsible for delivering whatever it was collected for.
  • Stripe processes the payment. Each team is a Stripe connected account and the team's treasurer accepts Stripe's own terms. We never hold your funds and we never see your card number.
  • We provide the software and charge a platform fee of 0.5% + $0.20 per transaction, in addition to Stripe's processing fee. The two are itemized separately at checkout, because they are different fees owed to different companies. By default the payer carries them; a team can choose to absorb them instead.

Refunds are the team's responsibility, not ours. If you want your money back, ask the team that collected it. If a team refunds you, our platform fee is returned to you along with it; Stripe's processing fee is not, and we do not control that. We can help you reach a team's treasurer, but we cannot compel a refund and we are not a party to what the team promised you.

Chargebacks, disputes, and any resulting fees are between the payer, the team, and Stripe. Teams are responsible for the lawfulness of what they collect and for their own tax obligations. We may suspend payment collection for a team we reasonably believe is using it fraudulently.

10. Subscriptions and billing

TEAMON3 has a free tier and paid tiers. Paid tiers are bought per team, not per person — one purchase covers everyone on that team.

  • Free — one team, up to 30 member accounts. Players under 18 have no account and never count toward the cap; their guardians do.
  • Team — $149 per season or $249 per year.
  • Early Team — $99 per season, our pre-launch founder price.
  • Club — for multi-team organizations, priced by arrangement. Not yet live

A "season" is a six-month subscription term beginning on the date of purchase, unless the offer says otherwise at the time you buy.

Automatic renewal — please read

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term, at the then-current price for your tier, and your payment method is charged without further action by you, until you cancel. You may cancel at any time and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the term you have already paid for; you keep access until then. To cancel, use Settings ▸ Subscriptions in the app, or — where you bought through Apple or Google — your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, which is the only place those can be cancelled. We will tell you before a renewal price changes.

The Early Team price lock

If you subscribe to Early Team before general availability, you keep $99 per season for as long as the subscription renews without lapsing. If it lapses past the grace period, the founder price is permanently forfeited and the tier reverts to standard pricing. We will warn you before that happens.

Lapses, downgrades, and caps

If a payment fails we will retry it and tell you, and there is a grace period before anything changes. On downgrade or lapse, content above the free tier's caps becomes read-only. Nothing is deleted because you stopped paying, and you can always export your data.

Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, or at our discretion. Subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play are refunded under Apple's or Google's policies, by them, not by us.

11. Trinity, our AI assistant Not yet live

Trinity answers questions about your team and can propose changes to it. Three conditions apply to using it:

  • You confirm every change. Trinity never modifies anything on its own — it proposes, you approve. You are responsible for what you approve, exactly as if you had done it by hand.
  • It can be wrong. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete. Do not rely on it for anything consequential without checking. It is not medical, legal, financial, or safety advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional.
  • It cannot exceed your own permissions, and messages it drafts on your behalf are attributed as such and are your responsibility once you send them.

Fair-use limits apply, and we may set per-team usage quotas.

12. Streaming, recordings, and likeness Not yet live

When live streaming is available, streams default to team members and fans only, and public sharing is off unless a team turns it on. Whoever starts a stream is responsible for having the right to broadcast what it captures — including any venue's rules and any music audible in it.

A guardian may withhold consent for their player's likeness at any time, per player, and we will suppress clips featuring that player. We may terminate a live stream immediately if it is reported and we consider it unsafe.

13. Copyright

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, email support@teamon3.com with "DMCA" in the subject line and include: your contact details; identification of the work; identification of the material and where it is; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is unauthorized; a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for them; and your signature.

We remove infringing material, notify the person who posted it, accept counter-notices, and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

14. Third-party services

The Service depends on providers including Stripe, Apple, Google, and Amazon Web Services. Your use of their parts of the experience is governed by their terms as well as ours, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions. Links to third-party sites are not endorsements.

15. Our intellectual property

The Service, its software, design, and the TEAMON3 name and logo are ours and are protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service as it is intended to be used. You get no other rights, and you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of it.

16. Feedback

If you send us suggestions, we may use them freely and without obligation to you. Please do not send us anything you consider confidential.

17. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or to protect the Service or its users — particularly where a child's safety is involved. Except where doing so would risk harm or break the law, we will tell you why.

On termination your licence ends. Data is handled per the retention schedule in the Privacy Policy, and you may export your data before deleting an account. Sections 7, 15, and 18 through 23 survive termination.

18. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, THAT NOTIFICATIONS WILL ALWAYS BE DELIVERED, OR THAT DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST.

WE MAKE NO WARRANTY ABOUT THE CONDUCT OF ANY USER, AND WE DO NOT VET, SCREEN, OR CONDUCT BACKGROUND CHECKS ON ANYONE, AS SECTION 5 EXPLAINS.

Some states do not allow these exclusions, in which case they do not apply to you.

19. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TEAMON3 WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for our own fraud, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Some states do not allow these limitations, in which case they do not apply to you.

20. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold harmless TEAMON3 LLC and its members, officers, and agents from claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal fees arising from your content, your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of anyone's rights — including any claim arising from your representation that you are a child's parent or guardian. We will notify you of any such claim and you may control the defence, provided any settlement releases us fully and admits nothing on our behalf.

21. Resolving a problem informally

Talk to us first. Most problems are resolved in a day by email. Before starting arbitration or a lawsuit, send a written notice to support@teamon3.com describing the problem and what you want. Both sides then have 60 days to try to resolve it. This step is a precondition to section 22, and the limitation period is paused while it runs.

22. Arbitration and class action waiver

Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action.

If a dispute is not resolved under section 21, you and TEAMON3 agree to resolve it by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. The arbitrator decides all issues except the enforceability of this section, which a court decides. The arbitrator may award the same individual relief a court could.

Class action waiver. Claims must be brought in your individual capacity only. You and TEAMON3 waive any right to bring or participate in a class, collective, consolidated, or representative action. If this waiver is held unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim is severed and proceeds in court; the rest stays in arbitration.

Exceptions. This section does not apply to:

  • claims that qualify for small claims court, which either of us may bring there;
  • claims seeking an injunction to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property; and
  • anything else the law says cannot be arbitrated.

Your right to opt out. You may reject this arbitration agreement by emailing support@teamon3.com with "Arbitration opt-out", your name, and the email on your account, within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Opting out costs you nothing, affects nothing else in these Terms, and we will not treat you differently for it. If you opt out, disputes go to the courts named in section 23.

Arbitration is held in the county where you live or by video or telephone, at your choice, and we pay filing and arbitrator fees to the extent the AAA rules require and any time your claim seeks less than $10,000. If we amend this section, you may reject the amendment within 30 days and keep the version you agreed to.

23. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and by the Federal Arbitration Act as to section 22. For anything not subject to arbitration, you and TEAMON3 submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Illinois. Nothing here deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in the state where you live.

24. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we publish the new version here with a new version number and effective date, and for material changes we give notice in the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that is acceptance; if you do not accept, stop using the Service and delete your account. We record which version each user accepted, and every version is retained.

25. General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
  • Severability. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
  • No waiver. Not enforcing something once does not waive it.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger or sale, on notice to you.
  • Force majeure. Neither side is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
  • Notices. We may notify you in the app or at your account email; you notify us at support@teamon3.com.
  • No third-party beneficiaries, except that Apple and Google are beneficiaries of the terms applying to purchases made through their stores.
